Our vineyards
Terre des Dames still has the same structure as it did 200 years ago: small plots on different levels, surrounded by ancient stone walls and wild garrigue.
Here, of course, no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are applied.
For most of the year, a cover of natural herbs favors an ecological balance in the soil.
Our oldest vine is 100 years old, others around 50 – 70 years old. All our grapes are harvested and sorted by hand.
Certified organic (Ecocert) for over ten years.
Terre des Dames
The 18th century buildings are surrounded by the vineyards – like an amphitheater open to the South.
Owner / winemaker since 2002: Lidewij van Wilgen – Dutch by origin but Languedocienne by heart. She studied oenology and viticulture in France. Her three daughters grew up on the estate and stayed involved ever since.
Production and vinification
Our yields do not exceed 35 hl per hectare. All the grapes are harvested and selected by hand.

Our wines are above all concentrated, pure, with a striking freshness.
Served in Michelin restaurants in France and elsewhere, our production is small, precise but accessible.
Where to find us ?
From the start, a large part of our wines has been sold abroad, especially in the Netherlands (Okhuysen), Germany (Walter and Sohn), Belgium and the USA. Now, we are proud to have France as an equally large market with a fine selection of wine merchants and restaurants representing our wines.

SUMMER TASTINGS
from june to september
In summer we organise two tastings a week: Tuesday at 16.00h in English, Thursday at 16.00h in Dutch. Walk in the vineyards, visit of the wine-cellar followed by a convivial tasting with apéritif. You are very welcome to join us ! (free of charges)
